We’re excited to welcome Desiree Eason to the Induron team! Desiree graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. After graduating, Desiree worked in several different fields within chemistry and looks forward to joining the Induron team as a Technical Support Chemist.

Q: What are your responsibilities in your new role?
A: I am the bridge between sales and the lab. If a salesperson comes back to the
company with a customer complaint, I am the one who tests and recreates the problem
from the field to help solve the issue. I also conduct all sorts of physical and chemical
testing on our coatings products aimed at serving Induron’s customer’s technical needs.
Q: Why Induron? What’s your favorite thing about working for Induron so far?
A: My favorite thing about working for Induron so far is the family-like atmosphere here. I can go to anyone in the company if I need a problem solved.
Q: Tell us about a project you’ve worked on that you’re especially proud of.
A: Helping the team work on a research paper, which covered adhesion testing on different substrates with different primers and topcoats. The goal of the research was to see how the products performed under pressure.
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
A: The mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some
passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style
Q: If you could have dinner with any person living or dead, who would it be and why?
A: Maya Angelou: I love her voice and I would love to hear all her life tips and teats she
may have.
Q: What person has had the biggest influence on your life and why?
A: My Mother: She raised me all on her own while going to school for her Masters. I learned that working hard dreams can come true.
Q: Tell us a little about your family, pets and/or hobbies.
A: I am the oldest of one other sibling, and we have a pet husky named Marco. My hobbies are
crocheting, hiking, and watching movies. My favorite movie is The Grand Budapest Hotel.
